“How shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken…?” (Hebrews 2:3, KJV)
The Divine Author of salvation has left nothing incomplete in His perfect plan. Every facet of redemption has been carefully designed so that the sin of the whole world was laid upon Jesus, and the value of His suffering was made supreme. Through His sacrifice, the penalty of the law is set aside, assuring even the greatest sinner of God’s forgiveness. By the merits of Christ, the estranged are invited to return to fellowship with their Creator.
How wondrous is the simplicity and fullness of the plan of redemption! Not only does it grant the sinner complete forgiveness, but it also restores the transgressor, opening a path by which one may be accepted as a child of God. Through faithful obedience, the redeemed become heirs of love, peace, and joy. In our moments of weakness, faith unites us with Christ, the very fountain of divine strength, and His righteousness is credited to the contrite and believing heart.
What marvelous love is revealed through the sacrifice of the Son of God! Christ rescues the sinner from the depths of degradation, purifying, refining, and ennobling him. By beholding Christ in His true nature, the believer is transformed and elevated to share in the dignity of the eternal kingdom.
The plan of redemption provides for every emergency and meets every need of humanity. If any deficiency existed in this divine provision, the sinner might offer excuses for neglecting such salvation. Yet, the infinite God, who knows every human necessity, has made ample provision to satisfy each one. What can the sinner possibly say on the great day of judgment regarding the neglect of such a complete and tender offer of salvation?
Embrace this divine provision with a humble and grateful heart, and let the assurance of forgiveness and restoration lead you to a life of obedience and joy.
