Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD. – Jeremiah 9:23-24, KJV

This passage offers both a gentle rebuke and an encouraging invitation—a vital lesson for every soul who desires to serve God. In these simple words, the Lord declares what pleases Him. Those who truly know God will understand Him as the One who delights in lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness. And as they walk humbly with Him, they will be enabled to follow His path, doing His will with goodness, compassion, mercy, gentleness, and love—for God has said, "In these things I delight."

What care, then, should we take in the words we speak and the way we treat others—especially those redeemed by Christ’s precious blood—lest we dishonor God by harshness or pride. If we are to reflect His character, we will be true Christian gentlemen and ladies, representing the spirit of Heaven in all our dealings.

Our success, both individually and as a people, depends entirely on our trust in God—not in human strength, intelligence, or riches, but in the sufficiency of Christ, in His grace, and in His perfect character. It is through His own merits, by the price He paid, that we have hope. Without His atoning sacrifice, we would be lost in our sins.

Those who know Jesus as their personal Savior are invited to be educated in a school far above that of this world. They are guided by a wisdom greater than any human mind can offer. They are invited to sit under the instruction of the greatest Teacher the world has ever known and to share in the understanding that was granted to Daniel. The humble of heart—those who sense their deep need of wisdom beyond their own—will not rely on their own judgment. They will earnestly seek to know God’s will, and in doing so, they will drink deeply from the fountain of all knowledge.

They will find grace, discernment, sound judgment, and spiritual understanding. They will experience the truth of God’s promise: "The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple" (Psalm 119:130, KJV).

Let our glory not be in what we possess or achieve, but in knowing the Lord. For in knowing Him, we reflect His light to the world—and in that, God is glorified.
