Counselor and Friend

"Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee." (Deuteronomy 32:7, KJV)

Life is much like a journey—a voyage through both storms and sunshine, ever drawing us toward the harbor of our destiny. Even as we endure tempests along the way, we are called to listen to the gentle voice saying, "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls." (Matthew 11:29, KJV) Each day, we must accept this invitation with humble hearts.

Our past is recorded in a book that neither fades nor can be erased, offering lessons from both our joys and our missteps. Instead of viewing what has been as a foe, let it become our counselor and friend—reminding us of the errors we must avoid, so that tomorrow may be free from regrets. Every day that we live writes our history; today is ours to shape, for yesterday is beyond our power to change.

Jesus Christ offers boundless help, grace, and forgiveness. In Him, we find not only the erasure of past sins but also the strength to renew our minds and hearts. As we look back, let us learn from our mistakes while embracing the wisdom that guides us away from peril.

Will we learn the good and reject the evil? Will we walk humbly with God? Our work, done with perseverance and faith, is a reward in itself. Time is brief, so let us keep our eyes fixed on the high calling in Christ Jesus, drawing on His sufficiency to become whole in Him.

Let each day be a testament to our commitment—living in a way that honors God, using the lessons of the past to build a future that reflects His glory and love.
