All they that are called by my name, whom I have created for my glory, whom I have formed, and made. (Isaiah 43:7, KJV)
Our lives belong to the Lord, and each one is entrusted with a sacred responsibility far greater than we may fully comprehend. The very fabric of our being is interwoven by His divine purpose, calling us to honor Him in all that we do. Often, we are tempted to credit our own merits for the influence we wield, yet true success comes from His guiding hand.
Reflect on the example of Nehemiah. Despite his significant influence over a king and the people of Jerusalem, he never boasted of his own character, talents, or energy. Instead, he openly acknowledged that his achievements were the result of God’s gracious intervention. For every favorable trait and every position of trust he acquired, Nehemiah praised the Almighty, recognizing that it was not his own strength but the Lord’s favor that sustained him.
We must come to a deep realization that every gift and influence we possess is a precious talent given for service to God. Our abilities—be they physical, mental, or emotional—are not our own capital to hoard, but resources to be cultivated and employed for His glory. There is a continual temptation to assume that our achievements are solely due to our own efforts, yet the Lord bestows honor only upon those who remain humble and faithful. He calls us to be His servants, not to exalt ourselves, but to consecrate our lives as a living sacrifice acceptable in His sight.
Guard every gift entrusted to you as a sacred treasure, using it to communicate the knowledge and grace you have received. In doing so, you fulfill the divine purpose for which you were created. The Lord requires that we immerse ourselves wholly in Jesus Christ, allowing His light and glory to shine forth through our lives.
