"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17, KJV)

When true conversion takes place in the heart, it is revealed in a transformed character. Those who surrender to Christ become like Him. Pride is removed from the heart, and sin is seen as detestable. The converted soul abhors anything that corrupts moral sensibilities and rejects all that contributed to the suffering and crucifixion of the Lord of glory. Those who are truly changed in Christ continue to grow in the knowledge of their Lord and Savior. As their understanding of Him deepens, they see more clearly their own weaknesses and the depth of their sinful nature. They recognize the power of sin and the stronghold of former habits.

Daily, they sense their complete dependence on Christ and cry out to Him: “I lay my helpless soul upon Thee. I have no price to bring, but at Thy cross, I cling.”

As the sinner beholds the Lamb of God, the divine provision for the removal of sin becomes clearer. They see the sufficiency of God's grace in every struggle. "And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world." (1 John 2:2, KJV)

A true Christian will not resist self-denial for the sake of Christ. Those who are children of God are active in His service; they are not idle or negligent. There are no spectators in the family of faith—every member has been entrusted with a mission.

Those who enroll in Christ’s school will learn how to bear testimony, how to pray, and how to be a living witness for their Master.

A genuine Christian is a diligent and persevering student, always aware of their need for wisdom, strength, and experience. They submit their will and all their interests into the hands of the great Teacher, trusting Him to mold their lives according to His perfect will.
