“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 3:18, KJV)

When we divert our eyes from the imperfections of mankind and fix them upon Jesus, a divine transformation is set in motion. In contemplating Christ—as though gazing into a mirror that reflects the glory of God—we begin to be reshaped into His very image, growing ever more like Him with each moment spent in His presence.

Turn away from noticing the faults of others and set your sight steadfastly on the Savior. With a humble and contrite heart, study His life and His perfect character. This pursuit not only deepens your understanding but also rekindles your spirit, preparing you to partake of the feast laid before you. As you immerse yourself in His Word, the true Bread of Life, you experience the nourishment that sustains your soul, revealing the promise of a renewed world and a rebirth in Christ Jesus. By accepting His gifts, you are renewed for a life of holiness, and His grace within you produces fruit for the glory of God.

The Holy Spirit opens our minds to the revelation of Christ, and through faith, His power takes hold. Embrace Christ as your personal Savior, and you will come to know by experience the immense sacrifice made on your behalf upon the cross at Calvary. The Spirit of Christ, working within your heart, draws you nearer to His image; for He is the pattern upon which His Spirit operates. Through the ministry of His Word, His providence, and His transformative work within, God impresses the likeness of Christ upon every believer.

To possess Christ is your first and foremost work, and to reveal Him as the perfect Savior for all who seek Him is your sacred duty. Serve the Lord with wholehearted devotion, setting your mind on holy things and filling it with the vital truths found in His sacred Word.

Kindness, meekness, gentleness, long-suffering, and love are the hallmarks of Christ’s character. If you are indwelt by His Spirit, your character will be continually molded into His likeness.
