"The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee." – Jeremiah 31:3 (KJV)

The most precious work to Christ’s heart is drawing souls to Himself. Look upon Jesus, the Majesty of Heaven. What do you see in His life’s story? His divinity clothed in humanity, a life of continual humility, one act of self-denial after another. From the glorious courts of Heaven, He descended to a world marred by sin, then descended further still, taking the form of a servant, despised and rejected. He wandered from place to place, fleeing from those who sought to take His life, only to be betrayed, forsaken, and crucified. If Christ endured all this for sinners, shall we refuse to humble our prideful hearts before Him?

Day and night, study the character of Christ. It was His tender compassion, His unfathomable, incomparable love for your soul, that led Him to endure every insult, shame, and suffering. Draw near to Him and behold His hands and feet, wounded for our transgressions. “The chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5, KJV).

Do not delay—do not let another day slip into eternity without coming to Him. No matter your weakness, your unworthiness, or your failures, do not hesitate. The call of Jesus, the promise of an incorruptible crown of glory, and the gift of eternal life, measured by the life of God Himself, should be reason enough to surrender your whole heart to Him.

Do not remain on the side of darkness. Through the grace given to you by God, make a decisive, radical change. Do not insult His mercy by rejecting His call any longer. With tears, He pleads, “And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life” (John 5:40, KJV). Even now, Jesus stands at the door of your heart, knocking, longing to enter. Will you open the door and let Him in?
