For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.—1 Timothy 2:5 (KJV)
Through the mediatorial work of Christ, the infinite love of God is revealed to both humanity and the angelic host. In Christ, the heart of the Father is fully manifested, inviting us into a relationship of trust and hope.
Even now, Jesus stands as our Intercessor. He is the High Priest who pleads on your behalf. Approach the Father through Jesus, presenting your petitions with confidence. Though you may falter, your case is not without hope. As the Scriptures assure us, "And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous" (1 John 2:1, KJV).
Christ, our Redeemer, is tender and merciful. When we confess our hidden sins to Him—the only Mediator between God and humanity—He offers forgiveness and renewal. He does not exploit our weakness but instead stands in our place. Dressed in the pure robes of His righteousness, He presents us to the Father. When the accuser of souls demands our condemnation, Christ’s blood speaks louder, offering redemption and victory.
The work of Christ in the heavenly sanctuary, continually presenting His blood on our behalf, should deeply impress us. It reminds us of the preciousness of time and the urgency to live for His glory. Jesus ever lives to intercede for us, and each moment squandered is a moment we cannot reclaim.
Consider Jesus in His heavenly sanctuary. He is not alone but surrounded by countless angels, ever ready to fulfill His commands. These heavenly beings are sent forth to aid the weakest soul who places their trust in God. The same help is extended to all—great or small, rich or poor. Divine assistance is available to everyone who seeks it.
Reflect on the solemn reality that Christ’s work in the heavenly sanctuary never ceases. His intercession is unending, and as we unite with Him, we are called to labor in harmony with His mission. When we take His yoke upon us, our work aligns with the great purpose of the living Christ.
Let us live with this awareness, striving to make each moment count as we walk in step with our eternal Mediator, who intercedes tirelessly for our salvation.
