Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. — Hebrews 7:25, KJV
Every provision has been made to address our weaknesses, and abundant encouragement has been extended to draw us nearer to Christ.
Christ offered His broken body to redeem God’s inheritance and to give humanity another chance. By His sinless life, obedience, and sacrificial death on the cross, He has interceded on behalf of a lost race. Now, as the Prince of our salvation, He intercedes not merely as a petitioner but as a Conqueror claiming the victory. His sacrifice is complete, and as our Intercessor, He fulfills His self-appointed work, presenting before God the incense of His spotless merits along with the prayers, confessions, and thanksgivings of His people. Perfumed with the fragrance of His righteousness, these offerings rise as a sweet aroma to God. The sacrifice is wholly acceptable, and forgiveness covers every transgression.
Christ has committed Himself to be our substitute and surety, and He does not cast anyone aside. He, who could not bear to see humanity perish in eternal ruin, gave His life for us and will regard with compassion every trembling soul that acknowledges their inability to save themselves. No sincere petitioner will go unnoticed by Him. The One who, through His atonement, has provided humanity with an infinite reservoir of moral strength, will not fail to use His power on our behalf. We can lay our sins and burdens at His feet, for He loves us. Even His gaze and words inspire confidence in our hearts. He will shape and refine our character according to His will.
No force in all of Satan’s arsenal can overcome a single individual who places their unwavering trust in Christ. “He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength” (Isaiah 40:29, KJV).
