"For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. … There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus." – Galatians 3:26, 28 (KJV)
The secret to true unity lies in the equality of all believers in Christ. Every cause of division, strife, or separation among people can ultimately be traced to a distancing from Christ. He is the center—our divine point of connection—and the closer we draw to Him, the closer we will be to one another in compassion, understanding, and love. In Christ, there is no favoritism; all are precious in His sight.
Jesus lived with a dignity that did not depend on earthly status or social recognition. He paid no regard to the vanities and pomp of this world. His life was elevated in principle, noble in character, yet free from all pretense and worldly display. Though the elite of society would have welcomed Him had He pursued their approval, He sought no applause from man. Riches, titles, and worldly rank were but shadows in the eyes of the One who had left the eternal glory of Heaven. He neither embraced luxury nor wore adornments—His beauty was clothed in humility.
Those who were poor, overworked, or burdened by care found in Christ a Brother who understood. His life bore no trace of worldly privilege that might distance Him from the common person. Rather, His modest and humble way of living matched the simplicity of His birth. The infinite Son of God came down to dwell among the lowest of humanity, so that no one would feel unworthy to come into His presence. He made Himself accessible to all. He did not favor a select few while neglecting others—His heart was open to every soul.
All humanity is united by creation—we are one family. And through redemption, we are bound even more closely. Christ came to break down every dividing wall, to remove every barrier that would separate one from another, and to grant all free access to the Father. His love knows no bounds. It is wide enough to reach every corner of the earth, deep enough to lift the most fallen, and full enough to fill every heart willing to receive it.
Let us live as those who are one in Christ, reflecting His love in how we treat one another. In His kingdom, no one is forgotten. All are called, all are welcome, and all are equal at the foot of the cross.
